Who we are.

It started with a missing card.

A friend's birthday was coming up and we wanted to send a card featuring a greyhound that expressed the same goofy personality as our best boy. So we searched high and low, but nothing we found captured the emotion and love we were so desperately searching for.

Instead we found lots of the same generic cartoon dogs that although cute, just didn't feel quite right for us. There wasn't an awful lot of variety out there, or a card company fully devoted to the wonderful 'cult of the sighthound' that we as guardians could go to as a quick and easy way to purchase exactly what we were after.

We realised that this was something we could easily set our sights into creating; a one-stop-shop for all sighthound lovers looking for artistry and passion. A card shop that made personalisation and memory making a priority.

We are here because we genuinely could not find what we wanted and we figured other sighthound owners might be having the same problem. So, Only Snoots was born. Our aim is simple: to create cards that are customisable, considered and based on real life guardianship and love for sighthounds. Uniquely capturing the quirks, gooberish charmm and magnificance of these wonderful hounds.

Meet Snootography

We partnered with Snootography for our first collection because as a rescue, pet bereavment and sighthound advocate, they get it on a deeply personal level. As a UK artist, Snootography's designs seek to raise awareness for specific breed causes, immortalise the character of each breed and capture the love of sighthound guardians worldwide.

"I think that having been a sighthound guardian for nearly two decades, it has given me such a profound appreciation of all their ridiculous antics: the chattering they do from various states of arousal, the insane zoomies (particularly after a good bath), being kicked relentlessly in the ribs and head by a rogue roaching leg, but more than anything the immense love and feeling of being home when in their company. It is truly magical.

Every design in our launch collection is from their growing body of work and we are so happy that they have agreed to be our resident artist.

No AI. Not now. Not ever.

Sighthounds have too much personality to be captured by an algorithm. The way a whippet tilts its head when judging you. The particular chaos of greyhound zoomies. The expression of a lurcher who just spotted something move three fields away.

These require observation, experience, and love of the breed. AI can generate a thousand variations instantly, but it cannot capture the exact expression your whippet makes when you say "walkies."

Every card is hand-drawn by a real artist who actually owns sighthounds. No templates. No algorithms. Just someone who understands the sighthound thing.

Not dog people. Sighthound people.

There is a difference. Once you become a sighthound guardian, you unoffocially join the 'cult of the hound'. It is a community that is an absolute joy to be a part of.

Owning a sighthound means accepting certain truths. Your sofa is no longer yours. Your hounds wardrobe will be more glamourous . And you now take forty-seven photos a day of your dog sleeping in increasingly contorted positions.

We celebrate the chaos. The zoomies. The roaching. The way they steal your heart and your favourite spot on the sofa. Our cards are for people who get it, because we are those people too.

What is next

We started with Snootography because their work captures exactly what we are about. But we are always looking for more artists who share our obsession.
